Ok... I am not sure what my parents did to celebrate me graduating
to Junior High... a McDonald's party comes to mind :)
Here... Now, they get a stretch limo to take them for lunch and then
paddle boats on a lake, then back to our house for cake and ice
cream. A good time was had by all! The SAD part is, it was no
more expensive than Brooke's last B-day at Chuck-E-Cheese
John's transition to Middle School has been bumpy...He's sort of
organizationally challenged, and we have not found a system that
works. John is in the G/T (gifted/talented) program, in all the
subjects they offer: Math, Social Studies, Science and English.
He also is part of the STEM club (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) after school. They'll be building a
rocket for a competition later in the year!
John's professional acting career has not
gone far this year, mainly because Jen is
crazy busy, but John's new headshots were
done at home! Gary is teaching himself
photography and has a full studio setup to
take portraits
John has been very involved in the local
theater since this past summer. John's first
professional stage performance was in
Bridge to Terabithia, performed at the Red
Branch Theater.
John was a zombie for Halloween. It was
fun painting him up to look so dreadful. I
don't know who had more fun making his
costume, Jen and Gary, or John!
